Private Research University Miami, Florida

Public Research University Manhattan, Kansas Tidal Basin assisted a public research university with conducting a comprehensive assessment of its emergency management program and supporting technologies. The resulting analysis and the development of a strategic roadmap bolstered readiness and resilience for future emergencies and matured its all-hazards emergency management program. Private Research University New Orleans, Louisiana Tidal Basin provided services including researching the University’s Accounting and Maintenance Departments’ records and databases, versioning scopes, developing cost estimates and gathering supporting documentation for development of version packages for submittal to FEMA. Our team also compared anticipated scopes of work with actual purchases or repairs. Public University Tampa, Florida Tidal Basin created custom incident command curriculum and training for the University’s senior officials and executive leadership. The curriculum facilitated an understanding of leadership responsibilities during any emergency affecting the University’s students, faculty, staff, or property.

Tidal Basin Government Consulting (Tidal Basin) has partnered with a private research university since 2006, working with the institution on an annual basis to review their Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), as well as long-term recovery processes to ensure the University is prepared for any event. Public Research University Huntsville, Texas Tidal Basin drafted the University’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) based on guidelines from Homeland Security Federal Continuity Directives, Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) programs, National Incident Command (NIMS), U.S. Department of Higher Education, and best practices of other businesses and universities. The BCP incorporates FEMA’s all-hazards approach, ensuring that all possible scenarios are considered.
